?Scent of Thoughts?

Philosophy is a man sitting in an armchair talking and thinking,
and thinking and talking;
Psychology is a man studying the man in the armchair;
Psychiatry treats the man in the armchair…

These I thought of as my mind wandered away while the trainer was blabbering away. It always happens to me, that my mind wanders off when I want it in place and when it doesn’t have to be, it just is…

The civet cat. A species I read about in PJ. The fluid (or humour as the physiologists prefer to call them) that is extracted from the bladder of the civet cat which is located between the testicles is actually used in perfumery. Amazing for one that stinks. And the civet cat was even the symbol used for perfumist by perfumists once upon a time…

Opium, the name of another perfume. Well of a drug to be more exact. Known in modern day medicine to help with pain relief. It was used for more than just that in the times when Baghdad was the greater civilization.

I came across this term Firdaus Al-Hikmah in that article which means so much and how I aspire to be one… This was the name of a book compiled by a well known physician in that time, Ali At-Tabari. A book that speaks of remedies and I… oh I can’t recall if this book was disposed of by Harun Al-Rashid or if it was kept in a museum somewhere out there.

Psychology speaks of critical thinking. Why must we even think in the first place. Something I prefer not to do but I guess I just have to. Cause that’s what separates a human from an animal. All these motivational talks are starting to make me feel like I’m not thinking enough. Am I not? Well at least I managed to get some things down onto this page. Living evidence of my thinking ability…

Critical thinking is just part of the chapter on research methods. Psychology was a branch of Philosophy. So I guess in their attempt to be more credible, psychologists have decided to not stop at talking.
